Amelia and Casey

Fall

Fall is here in Michigan and the weather is fantastic. I love hoodie weather. Also, with fall comes Cider, which is also fantastic, especially when you put a little captain in it and heat it up. It also means that my 29th birthday is right around the corner.

I think I'm doing alright in law school, but there is really no way to judge. There are no assignments for points or anything like that. Our grades in the first term go like this 10% of it is from the Mid-Terms, and 90% is from the final exam. I guess you don't really know how you're doing until the final is done. I am keeping up on all the readings, and taking a lot of notes, so hopefully I am doing ok.

School Time

Well I'm officially back in school. My first day of Law School was pretty good, it's going to be super hard. Since I was never that good at studying, I'm going to have to teach myself how to study. After two days I'm still caught up with my work, I'm going to have to work hard to keep it that way.

Back to school

Less than a month till I officially become a student again. My orientation is on Sept. 1, and first day of classes start soon after. I have a feeling, like most things in life, I'm going to be awesome at Law School. Does being a student again mean I have to go back to eating fast food all the time, partying and drinking daily, not having any money, and not getting any sleep? I guess we'll find out.

No Plans

So turns out for the 4th we're not going to do anything really, and it's going to be awesome. I work everyday, and Amelia works every night except the 4th so taking a night to do nothing together is going to be nice. We are going to go somewhere (probably Meridian Township) to watch fireworks, but other than that we will be staying at home.

In other news, I'm 90% sure that I'm going to quit my job in order to focus on Law School. Lets hope my awesome wife can support us, while I just wrack up the debt. I'm very nervous to be going back to school, but also very excited. Well I'm off to drink some whiskey, till next time America.

4th

The 4th of July is coming up, no idea what are plans are though. I have to work everyday that weekend, and Amelia has to work every day except the 4th. So we're not going to be going anywhere. We were thinking about going to the Lugnuts game and watching the fireworks at the stadium.

Still waiting to get our flooring done. Got 3 rooms done so far, and the 3 biggest rooms are the 3 waiting to be completed. I just want to get that finished cause then it will feel more complete, even though we will still have lots to do. After the floors are done we sill have baseboards and trim, running some electrical, and other various stuff. Also, we plan on fixing up the yard, but that'll have to wait.

Update

Now that the blog is up and running again, I'll post a little update. I've been accepted to Cooley Law School, and plan to start in September 2010. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to continue working while in school or not. I would like to have an income, but I also would like to be able to focus on school only, so that I can graduate and get a good job.

Our house is coming along, we've started laying the flooring and most of the painting is done. Also, we've been slowly moving our stuff over from my moms. We haven't unpacked a lot of it yet, but we're at least getting it there. It's going to be like Christmas when we start opening those boxes that we packed up 2 years ago. Hopefully the floors get done soon, then the rest will be just minor fixes and we can finally settle into our new place.
